At Horgenglarus, the motto ‘new simplicity’ still applies in the 21st century. The Classic chair –an in-house design from the early 20th century, and today a legend of Swiss furniture making – embodies this ideal. Time and again, chairs experience a renaissance and become part of our collection as a reproduction. Over the decades, designs by Werner Max Moser, Max Ernst Haefeli, Max Bill and Robert and Trix Haussmann have been used to create modern Swiss classics that impress with their clear design language.
Our high level of craftsmanship brings the most prominent Swiss architects and designers to Glarus. They appreciate our expertise, the manual construction of prototypes and our in-house development team’s knowledge of materials, which makes this unique collaboration possible in the first place.
